Working Principle

Our Roots blower is a type of positive displacement blower, which operates by using a pair of intermeshing rotors (impellers) rotating inside a casing to convey gas. A certain clearance is maintained between the two rotors and between the rotors and the casing, ensuring no contact during operation. The rotors’ relative positions are kept precisely synchronized through timing gears.

As the rotors rotate, the volume on the inlet side increases, drawing air into the casing and filling the chamber. With continued rotation, the air is trapped in the space between the rotor and the casing and carried to the discharge side. At the discharge port, where the pressure is higher, the air is pushed out, completing one cycle of continuous gas delivery.

As an improved version of the traditional 2-lobes Roots blower, 3-lobes Roots blower isdesigned for smoother airflow, lower noise, and higher efficiency.
